Collection and Management of ABPs – Categories 1 and 3

Antinia Srl is authorized to collect, transport and manage animal by-products (ABPs) belonging to Categories 1 and 3, operating in full compliance with EC Regulation 1069/2009.

Thanks to its organization and dedicated facilities, Antinia guarantees an efficient service that complies with health and environmental regulations, serving farms, livestock operations, slaughterhouses, food industries and veterinary facilities.

Collection and Management of ABPs – Categories 1 and 3

• ABP Category 1 – Covers high-risk materials that cannot be reused in any way. Includes carcasses of infected animals, animals treated with prohibited substances and waste from international catering facilities. These by-products must be disposed of through incineration or co-incineration at authorised facilities.

• ABP Category 3 – Includes low-risk by-products from slaughterhouses, food-processing industries and the processing of products of animal origin. They may be used to produce animal feed, pet food, fertilisers or biogas, provided they are treated in accordance with current regulations.

ABP Storage Facilities

Antinia Srl has certified storage facilities for the delivery, temporary storage and management of animal by-products before they are sent for final treatment.

The facilities are equipped with:

• Refrigerated areas and cold rooms to ensure the preservation of materials awaiting disposal.
• Advanced safety systems for monitoring and preventing contamination.
• Separate management for each ABP category, in compliance with health and environmental regulations.
